this is what heterophobia would look like if it was real. if you believe that heterophobia is a real thing that exists, please watch this because you will see that it simply doesn’t exist, that it never has and never will.
tbh I think everyone should watch this anyway because it’s very clever and very powerful
wow how powerful is this…

Anger in France after attacks on Muslim women | Socialist Worker
By Sellouma
June 18, 2013
Thousands of protesters gathered outside the town hall in Argenteuil near Paris on Friday of last week. They were enraged and upset after a series of racist attacks against Muslim women.
Rabia, a young woman who wears the hijab, had been beaten by the fascists, but the mayor and police pressured her not to file a complaint. A second woman was violently arrested for wearing a niqab. People who defended her were also taken into custody.
The assaults went further last weekend when a pregnant woman wearing the hijab was beaten in the stomach. Her attacker also cut her hair. There are reports that she has since miscarried as a result of the beating.
The demonstration was the biggest expression of determination and action against Islamophobia in France for a long time. Groups of people were debating politics at a high level—it felt like a small Tahrir Square.
We urgently need to build an anti-fascist and anti-racist movement that is clear against Islamophobia—and what is happening in Argenteuil is an example to follow.
Unity march planned
A number of trade union federations and left wing and anti racist organisations are supporting a united national demonstration against fascism in Paris on Sunday of this week.
It was called in response to the killing of student Clément Méric by fascist thugs earlier this month.
Meanwhile the fascist Front National pushed the ruling Socialist Party into third place in the first round of a by-election near Bordeaux. It was called to elect a replacement for former Socialist budget minister Jérome Cahuzac who was forced to resign after his secret Swiss bank account was revealed.
This brings the government’s majority down to just three MPs. The Front National is now set to face the Tory UMP in the second round.

wat the f.
zero tolerance for girls who are like, “wow, what a weak woman, I would never marry an abusive guy or let my husband hit me.” because yes, some women pray to God that their husband is abusive and punches them around a bit. yeah. some women hope for it. you’re so different for not wanting an abusive husband. congrats.

in response to president obamas address on africa:
“I think part of what’s hampered advancement in Africa is that for many years we’ve made excuses about corruption or poor governance, that this was somehow the consequence of neo-colonialism, or the West has been oppressive, or racism – I’m not a big – I’m not a believer in excuses.
“The West and the United States has not been responsible for what’s happened to Zimbabwe’s economy over the last 15 or 20 years.”
